The video shows a male student strangling another male student in a bathroom. The school confirmed that the two were middle school students.
An incident involving two students from ADDU High School was recorded and shared on social media. School officials have met with the students and their parents, and the investigation is ongoing.
The university also said appropriate interventions were being made in accordance with the Ateneo de Davao Middle School Disciplinary Regulations, the DepEd Child Protection Policy and the 2012 Data Privacy Act, AdDU said.
The University has been assured that it will maintain a safe learning environment for its students and that inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. If necessary, disciplinary sanctions will be imposed after the legal action.
